Wedding Stationery – Poppy & Ben
The Challenge
Poppy and Ben approached me to design their wedding stationery, requesting the inclusion of white poppies to symbolise their union—Poppy being the bride and Ben White, her fiancé. Initially, I experimented with white watercolour techniques to depict the poppies; however, the results didn't align with the envisioned aesthetic. Pivoting creatively, I opted for minimalist outlines to represent the poppies, incorporating their colour theme of pink and green, which provided the flexibility to explore a more abstract and elegant design approach.

The Solution
I designed a comprehensive suite of stationery elements:
- Wedding Invitations
- Menus
- Welcome Sign
- Order of Service
- Table Plan
- Table Placement Cards
The design featured delicate line-drawn white poppies, complemented by soft pink and green hues, creating a harmonious and elegant visual identity that resonated with the couple's vision.

The Outcome
The stationery suite not only met but exceeded the couple's expectations, encapsulating their personal story and wedding theme through thoughtful design. Poppy and Ben expressed their satisfaction with the final products, noting the seamless communication and the creative approach to their unique request. Their testimonial reflects the success of this collaboration:
"My husband and I are so pleased to have had Tegan to design our wedding stationery. Tegan’s organisation and excellent communication helped to take away the time pressures and stresses of wedding planning. We chose our theme to be white poppies, and she tackled this tricky request with her creativity and we fell in love with the first design she sent us. She was very open to, and encouraged feedback to ensure that we were completely happy with each item."
